Agnes F. Martin, 82, resident of Cottonwood, AZ. With great sadness, her family announces her passing on Wednesday, January 25, 2006. Agnes was born at home in Jamaica, NY on December 17, 1923 to parents, Frank and Surrue Vanderhoef. She was the youngest of five children. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Herman Martin of Cottonwood, AZ; her son, Glenn Martin with his wife, Pamela of Cottonwood, AZ; her grandchildren, Michelle Edwards with her husband, Matt of Toledo, Ohio, and Eric Martin with his wife, Amber of Cottonwood, AZ; her loving sister-in-laws, Helen Martin of Jamaica, NY, Lucy Vanderhoef of Manorville, NY, and Florence Vanderhoef of Moulton Boro, NH; her brother-in-law, Robert Martin of Islip, NY; as well as, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers; Lester Vanderhoef, Bill Vanderhoef, and Will Vanderhoef, as well as Will\u0027s wife, Lois; Surrue and John Gerkin, her sister and brother-in-law, also precede her. She had a great love for cooking, watching the Arizona Diamond Backs and raising cats. Both the Visitation (9:00am) and Funeral Service(10:00am) will be held on Friday, January 27, 2006 at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave. in Cottonwood.
