Albert James Hess

Albert James Hess, 81, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2007. He was born July 2, 1925 in Niles, Ohio to William Earl and Alice (Brooks) Hess. Albert served his country during WWII in the United States Navy as a Signalman Second Class. Professionally, Albert worked with the Local 428 Union as a heavy equipment operator, and dedicated 30 years as such before taking his retirement. Albert was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign War-Post 6739, and the American Legion-Post 25. Albert loved his family. He enjoyed traveling, boating, reading, and animals. He was also a life-time fan of A.S.U. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores. He leaves behind his son, James Hess with his wife, Annie of Flagstaff; his daughters, Cherry James with her husband, Dean of Wilhoit, and Bobbi Spradling of Cottonwood; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A Graveside Service will be held at the Prescott National Cemetery on March 16, 2007 at 1:00pm. Contributions can be sent to Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood, Arizona 86326.
