Alfred -Dave- Duncan

Alfred David Duncan Jr., AKA "Dave", 67 of Cottonwood, passed away on December 24, 2015. He was born on December 21, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to Alfred and Helen (Jensen) Duncan. Dave grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois and graduated from York High School in 1967. That same year he met Linda, who would become his wife in 1971. Dave attended Allied Institute of Technology for Industrial Engineering and Wheaton College for Business Administration. Dave served in the Army National Guard in Illinois. He, Linda, and his parents moved to Cottonwood in 1975 and in 1979 they were blessed with a son, David. Dave and his dad brought Duncanlite Lab, Inc., the family dental lab business from Illinois, to Cottonwood. In 1985, Hilltop Dental Center was established. Dave, through Duncanlite Lab in conjunction with Hilltop, served the Verde Valley until he became ill in 2013. Dave\u0027s favorite things to do were fishing, bowling and spending time with grandson Carson building Lego kits as well as puzzles and games with step-grandson Tristin. Dave attended Verde Baptist Church and truly was thankful for the blessings given to him by his Lord. Dave was preceded in death by his parents Alfred Sr. and Helen Duncan and brother-in-law Raymond A. Ossman. He is survived by his wife Linda of Cottonwood; son David T. Duncan (Jessica) of Clarkdale; sister Joan Duncan Ossman of Illinois; brothers-in-law Robert Fischrup (Angela) and Fred Fischrup, both of Illinois and 2 grandchildren. Services for Dave will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood. The visitation will start at 9:30am with the service following at 10:30am.
