Andrew Dominic Peterson

Andrew Dominic Peterson 81 of Jerome, Arizona passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2024. Andy was born on May 1st, 1943 in Jerome, Arizona to the late Raymond “Ray” Douglas Peterson and the late Menica “Mickey” Antonia (Beneitone) Peterson. 

Andy is survived by his daughter Mary Antoinette Babbini Haase (husband Steven); son Andrew Douglas Peterson; grandchildren Morgan Antoinette Kreis (husband Kaleb) and Dominic Andrew Peterson; niece Sherri Tarran and nephew Steven Hunt. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Judy Peterson; children Virginia Marie Peterson and Dominic Lee Peterson; and sister Pat Kowalewski. 

Andy graduated from Mingus Union High School and attended Northern Arizona University. Andy was an avid athlete who played football, baseball, basketball and later, softball. He spoke Italian and was fluent in Spanish. A talented welder, he worked in many mining locations throughout Arizona, ending his career with Phelps Dodge in Jerome. He loved the Lord and was an alter boy at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Jerome, Arizona. Andy served a term as Exalted Ruler of the Jerome Elks Lodge #1361. When people describe Andy, the same word is used by many: “KIND”. He told everyone he spoke to he loved them and will be missed by all.
