Angela Mikitka, 91, of Sedona died May 9. She was born June 10, 1918 in Askam, Pennsylvania the daughter of Adam and Ursula Norkunas. She graduated from Warrior Run High School. She retired from the Veterans Administrator. Mrs. Mikitka received communion from Pope John Paul II. She was a beloved member and prayer warrior of St. John Vianney where she served a lector and Eucharistic minister and with various church groups. Her faith, her family, and her friends and her active involvement in God\u0027s work were important in her life. As she travels the streets paved in gold, her family will keep her in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph John Mikitka. She is survived by a son Joseph Paul Mikitka (April) of Quartz Hill, California; daughter of Diane Marie Johnson (James) of California City, California; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A rosary was held on Thursday May 13 at St. John Vianney Church. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 14 in St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Sedona at 10 AM.
