AnnaLee Evans

December 9, 1926 — September 4, 2009

AnnaLee Evans, 82, Cottonwood, went to be with her Lord on September 4, 2009. Born Sweetwater, Texas December 9, 1926, oldest child of Robert "Homan" Green and Leola Abigail Traylor, they moved to Phoenix in 1928. Her father was a broom maker and nurseryman and mother was a homemaker. Her maternal grandmother, Anna Missouri Guess Traylor lived with the family most of their years at home. Anna Lee\u0027s smile and warm personality caused people to remain livelong friends, many of whom she would hear from regularly. She was loved and cherished by those who knew her. A graduate of North Phoenix High School, Phoenix College and Grand Canyon University, she taught elementary school until a stroke forced her to take a medical retirement. She lived in the Phoenix area until moving to Cottonwood in 1972. She became active in the garden club and El Valle group of artists and entered many of her paintings in various exhibits and fairs, winning numerous ribbons. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother Robert Green, sister Nina Fosberg and ex-husbands, Charles Druding and Henry Evans. She leaves behind a loving family of daughters, Carol Bonnet (Daniel) of Cottonwood, and Sharon Daigle (Robert) of Queen Creek, son Kevin Druding of Clarkdale, grandsons Timothy Meyers of Taft, OK, Stephen Paap (Allison) of Escondido, CA and David Paap (Shayla) of Gilbert, great-granddaughters Stephanie Meyers of Oklahoma City, OK, Madalyn Paap of Gilbert, Lauren Paap of Escondido, CA, and sister, Dona Ely (Richard) of Lake Montezuma. We will all miss her gentle, loving nature. Celebration of life will be September 19, 2009 at Verde Baptist Church, 102 S. Willard, Cottonwood, AZ at 11:00 am. Donations may be made to Arizona Walk to Emmaus, P.O. Box 86309, Phoenix, AZ 85080-6309.
