Anne Rogers Olson, 95, of Cornville died April 27, 2009 in Cottonwood. She was born February 24, 1914 in Chinook, Montana to homesteaders Benton and Ara Pratt Rogers. She attended New Hope and Chinook schools and tended elderly and children, cooked on local ranches and clerked in grocery stores. She married Clifford Doney in 1934. Daughter Arlene was born in 1935 and son Roger in 1936. They divorced in 1945. She and O. A. Olson married and bought Spa Tavern in Zurich until they sold in 1971 and moved to their small farm. Ole died in 1976. In 1982, Arlene and husband Wade moved to be near them in Cornville where she continued to excel in gardening, canning and mowing the yard until she was 90. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and a sister. Survivors are Arlene Doney Penhallegon of Cornville, Roger and Helene Doney of Whitefish, Montana and Peoria, Arizona, four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, sister Elaine Hagestad of Polson, Montana. She is also survived by step-son Gary and Wynona Olson, a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren and step-daughter Joyce Howieson of Havre, Montana, There will be no service and cremation has taken place.
