Audrey Waterman, 96, of Cottonwood died December 16 at her home. She was born September 18, 1913 in Santa Barbara, California, the daughter of Harry Holmes Moore and Nellie Trusedale Gorham. She attended University of California at Santa Barbara. She was freelance writer and a writer of children\u0027s fairy tales that have been published and recorded. These stories can be found in schools and libraries in the United States and the United Kingdom. She attended Northwestern University of Illinois where she was a concert violinist. She also danced in the style of Martha Graham in the 1930\u0027s. A member of the National League of American Pen Women she also was listed in the 1970 Who\u0027s Who of Women. She is survived by two daughters, Candace Schoonover of Prescott and Kathleen Turczyn (Mark) of Burnsville, North Carolina and her life companion of 38 years, Keith Boericke of Cottonwood.
