Barbara Jean Freed

Barbara Freed, 57, of Cottonwood joined her mother, Argell Vann in the arms of the Lord, Friday, October 17. She courageously fought breast cancer for 20 years and did not allow her illness to overcome her. She passed of a heart attack unrelated to her cancer. Barbara\u0027s greatest joys in life were her family and her kitty, Dini. We will miss her passion for life, God, family and politics. Barbara is survived by her father, Leon G. Vann Sr. of Florida, daughter Jennifer Baker (John Baker Jr.) of Tucson, Arizona, son John Freed IV (Dawny Freed) of Kaysville, Utah, brothers Brian Vann of Escondido, CA., Leon Vann Jr. of Sacramento, CA., and Robert Vann of Montana, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2003 at Church of the Nativity, 16 W. Cherry Street, Flagstaff, Arizona. Reception to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 202 S. Kendrick, Flagstaff. The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, 2724 E. Lakin, Ste. 9, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family in arrangements.
