Bernice A. Schmidt

Bernice Alma Schmidt, 83, of Cottonwood died April 1. She was born August 27, 1920 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She married Howard C. Schmidt in August 1940 in Sleepy Eye. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed traveling the United States. She leaves her husband of 63 years, Howard C. Schmidt; two daughters, Nancy A. and her husband Robert Hinshaw of Prescott and Linda L. Buchanan of Prescott Valley; a brother, Curtis Schewe of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 7 in the Heritage Memorial Park Cemetery in Dewey at 1:30 PM. Westcott Funeral Home is handling these arrangements.
