Betty Kinsolving Heisley, 85, of Cottonwood passed away November 17 in Cottonwood. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1925. Betty spent part of her childhood in Chicago during the Depression, and returned to Arkansas as a teenager. She met her future husband, Fred Heisley, at Camp Robinson during World War II. They were married at the end of the war and moved to Arizona in 1950. She helped Fred start and run a manufacturing company named Ensco in Phoenix. During this time she was quite active in Phoenix Musical Theater amd starred in many of their productions. She studied and sang opera, and later became active in the Phoenix Metropolitan Opera Guild. Betty was also a member and mentor of All Saint\u0027s Episcopal Church in Phoenix. They moved their cabin to Pinewood after retirement and then down to Cottonwood. She is survived by her husband Fred and two children, Rick Heisley and Julie Fleming. Betty had three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
