Betty Jane Sturdevant

Betty Jane Sturdevant, age 83, died on February 5, 2009 at her home in Prescott. She was born in Flint, Michigan on December 7, 1925. Betty graduated from Henry Ford School of Nursing in 1947 as a registered nurse. She married her childhood sweetheart, Harry Sturdevant, in 1949 and moved to Arizona in 1959. Betty dedicated 35 years of nursing at YRMC. Following retirement she volunteered at Prescott Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by Harry in 1992. She is survived by children Scott (Shelly) of Colorado, Jan of New Mexico, Lori (Curt) of California, Todd (Julie) of Arizona, Traci (Bill) of Colorado; brothers and sisters Dorothy, Bill, Chuck, and Shirley; grandchildren Megan, Matthew, Heath, Tauni, Amy, Kristi, Carrie, Tyler, Joshua, Ashley, Brandy, Nolan and Billy; great grandchildren Christopher, Kymberleigh, Cooper, Kaleab, Connor and Benjamin. A visitation will be held Monday, February 9, 2009 from 4-7PM at Heritage Memory Mortuary and the service will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 11AM at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave, Prescott, AZ Memorial contributions may be made to: Prescott Meals on Wheels, 1280 E.
