Beverly Ann Parks, 83 of Cottonwood, passed away in Sedona on April 23, 2016. She was born on July 18, 1932 in Fresno, CA to Wallace Mark Templeton and Wardie Berenice Neese. Beverly attended San Diego State University and received her Bachelors in Child Development and her Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling. Beverly worked a variety of occupations from telephone operator to bank teller to childcare. She put in many volunteer hours as a counselor. At age 70 she received her Bachelor\u0027s degree in Metaphysics and became a registered minister. At age 75 she received her Ph. D. in Pastoral Counseling Psychology from the University of Sedona. Beverly was a member of the Praise and Mercy Ministry at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Beverly collected books, Teddy Bears and music and had an eclectic taste that ran from ABBA to Zeppelin to Johnny Mathis to Martin Denny. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. Beverly always had an unconditional love, not just for family and friends but for everyone that crossed her path. Beverly is survived by sons Ron Parks and Mark Parks (Anita) both of CA; daughters Cindy Clayton of OR and Kathy MacCarthy (Mike) of CA; brother Jim Gensler (Adele) of FL; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
