Billy Joe “Bill” Hale Dec. 8, 1938 — Jan. 28, 2025

Billy Joe Hale, 86, of Cornville, Arizona, passed away on Jan. 28, 2025. Born on Dec. 8, 1938, in Jefferson City, Missouri, Bill lived a life marked by resilience, kindness and a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank, and his mother, Elizabeth.

He is survived by his brother, Jim and his son, Billy, who will cherish his memory, and the many moments shared together on the various lakes and rivers spread across the country

An Army veteran, Bill’s life was one of hard work, integrity and dedication to those he loved.

Over the years, he wore many hats, serving the Verde Valley as a general contractor, owning a bar in Crown King, working as a recovery diver, and practicing gunsmithing back in his home state of Missouri. His passions included restoring vintage cars, woodworking, boating and fishing, pursuits that brought him great joy and lifelong friendships.

Whether through his work, friendships or the wisdom he passed down, Bill left a lasting impact on those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Please consider a donation in Bill’s honor to the Humane Society of Sedona.
