Brenda Joyce Shirley

Brenda Joyce Shirley, 55 of Camp Verde, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010. She was born July 16, 1955 in Ajo, Arizona to Annabelle Lowry. She attended Camp Verde School District and Cosmetology School. She worked at Cliff Castle Casino and Indian Action. She was married for 33 years. She also attended Middle Verde Rock Church. Brenda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and listening to music. Brenda is preceded in death by her mother Annabelle; brother Thomas Lowry; grandsons Stephen Lowry, Jr; nephew Riley Grey and grandmother Helen Quail. She is survived by son Stephen Lowry; daughters Christina Shirley, Apphia Shirley and Roseanna Shirley; sisters Audrey Ibarba (Pete) and Joanne Grey (Cameron) sisters Juanita Lowry, Margaret Campos (Victor) and Helen Shaw ; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30 at Middle Verde Rock Church, Yavapai-Apache Reservation from 6:00 to 9:00pm. The service will be held on Friday, December 31 at 10:00am at the Tribal Gymnasium. Burial will follow at the Yavapai-Apache Tribal Cemetery.
