Buster Thornton

Buster "Big Jim" Thornton, 82 of Clarkdale passed away February 5, 2011 in Prescott with his family at his bedside. Jim was born June 28, 1928 in Flagstaff to the late Clete and Edna Mae Thornton. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Francine; seven children, Lila, Jimmy, Jeri Ann, Danny, Howard, Joe and Jamie as well as nineteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. For many years he was the Carnation milkman delivering to homes and businesses throughout the Verde Valley. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had a great love for his dogs and old westerns. Jim will forver be remembered as a kind, compassionate and humourous man. He was truly loved by all and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Thursday February 10 in the Westcott Funeral Home from 12-1PM. The funeral service will follow at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Prescott Samaritan Village, 1030 Scott Drive, Prescott, AZ 86301.
