Camille (Kathy) Smith, 91, of Sedona passed away January 5, 2015 at Carefree Assisted Living in Cottonwood. She was born August 9, 1923 in Corvallis, Oregon to Pauline and Leland Monroe. She attended Walla Walla College in Walla Walla, Washington where she studied education. Camille was a vibrant member of the Sedona Seventh-day Adventist for over 40 years, helping to create and operate the Sedona Food Bank out of the church\u0027s basement. She eagerly taught Sabbath school classes to various age groups for many years. Her most ambitious project was sending new and used Bibles to Africa and India to share the Gospel. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyndon. She is survived by her sisters Dona Browning and Mary Ellen Vickers, brothers Arthur Monroe and Maurice Monroe, daughters Connie Mallon of Cottonwood and Le Anne Baker of Jackson, Tennessee, four grandchildren Sally Mallon of Phoenix, Christopher Baker, Toni Stephens, Jesse Baker and 2 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Carefree Assisted Living and Hospice of the Pines for their compassionate and dedicated care. A private interment will be held at a later date.
