Candy Lee Watts, 45, of Cottonwood died Sunday, April 26. She was born December 28, 1963 in Artesia, California, the daughter of Donald James Slack and Letitia Isabel Ann Slack. She attended Mariposa and Brea schools and was a graduate of Brea High School. Candy worked in retail lingerie and graphic arts (art galleries) in California and owned her own business, Evening Rose. She also sold flowers in restaurants. She was Vice president of the Highland Games in the Verde Valley. She considered her greatest accomplishment was her son. Candy was a member of the Camp Verde Southern Baptist Church. Her interests included a love of plants, animals, fine arts, photography, arrowhead hunting, and hiking with her husband, son and friends. She was well known for being a people person and was always there for family and friends. Candy could move mountains and get from points A to B in record time. She was preceded in death by her father and father in law. Candy leaves her husband of three years, Thomas L. Watts; a son Joshua Lee James Watts of Cottonwood; brothers, Richard Donald Slack of Clarkdale and Robert Vernon Slack of Murrieta, California; sisters Carol Letitia Vellema of Laguna Hills, California, Cynthia Ann Slack of Clarkdale and Christine Leona LaForge of Riverside, California.
