Carole Lynn Aston

July 6, 1942 — February 19, 2014

Carole Lynn Aston of Camp Verde passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. She was 72 years old. She was born on July 6, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA to William Thomas and Ruby Fern Lord. In addition to raising her family, Carole worked as a self-taught accountant and bookkeeper for her family businesses, including a vineyard. She once built a beautiful cabin and lived in the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness. She also worked for, and eventually retired from, Los Abrigados resort. Carole was a selfless person, volunteering for The Old Town Mission and Bread of Life among others, and she loved her friends as family. She was a member of Calvary Chapel in Camp Verde. Carole liked quilting and was a talented seamstress, she loved hunting with her husband and was a Master Gardener, but above all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Carole is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas Aston of Camp Verde; her sons, Gregory Dean (Kristy) Aston of Clarkdale and Boyd Thomas (Michelle) Aston of North Platte, NE; her daughters, Sharon Lynn (Bryan) Self of Cornville and Fawn (Eric) Clark of Cottonwood; her brother, Donald William (Pam) Lord of Cottonwood; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
