Carolyn M. Lacy

Carolyn M. Lacy of Cornville passed away on June 7, 2011. She was born on September 23, 1940 in Pearsall, Texas to Burton and Alta Mathews. Carolyn attended schools in Millett, Texas and Arkadelphia, AR. She worked for Southwest Bell Telephone Co as an operator until she married. She was a loving wife, mother and grandma. Carolyn belonged to the Cottonwood Christian Assembly. She enjoyed singing and sang at church services and at nursing homes. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Burton and Alta. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Johnny; son John Lacy (Jill) of Camp Verde; daughter Shannon Turkett (Mike) of Brackettville, TX; sister Charlene Hobbs (Harlan) of Uvalde, TX and 3 grandchildren: Hayden Turkett, Brendan Turkett and Paige Lacy. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood from 5:00 to 7:00pm. The service will be held on Saturday, June 11 at Cottonwood Christian Assembly, 750 E.
