Catherine Pauline Addis

Catherine Pauline (Conaway) Addis, 93, resident of Cottonwood passed away on Friday, August 29, 2009. She was born on January 11, 1915 in Des Moines, Iowa to Charles and Katherine (Bauck) Conaway. As a child, she attended school at St. Anthony\u0027s. As an adult, she worked at the Cleveland Public Library as a secretary. Catherine was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood; she was also a collector of antiques, and had an enormous collection of stick pin holders and catelogues of such. She was also an avid reader. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wily Penrose Addis; her daughter, Mable Irene Gordon; and her parents. Catherine leaves behind her son, Lee Addis; four daughter, Katey Downs, Susan Schartman, Betty Carano, and Annie Diaz; her brother, John Conaway; as well as 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
