Catherine Horten

Catherine Horten, 90 of Cottonwood, passed away on April 20, 2016. She was born on October 27, 1925 in Van Nuys, CA to parents Paul and Elfrieda. Catherine attended Van Nuys High School for 4 years. She was a housewife and beloved mother who raised her 2 sons, Steven and Daniel. She enjoyed history and horticulture. Catherine belonged to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and sang in the choir. Catherine was a beloved wife; married 62 years to Harold, the love of her life. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Harold and son Daniel. She is survived by son Steven (Rita) of Cottonwood; brother Herman Shapro (Marie) of Sacramento, CA; 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 700 N. Bill Grey Road in Cottonwood on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 10:30am.
