Charles ''Barney'' Waugh

July 16, 1919 — January 24, 2003

Charles \u0027\u0027Barney\u0027\u0027 Waugh, 83, passed away January 24. He had lived in Cottonwood for 6 years and was a volunteer at Verde Valley Medical Center at the Critical Care Unit Reception Desk. Prior to that he lived in Green Valley, Arizona for 15 years where he was a member of the Country Club and Valley Presbyterian Church. Before retiring to Arizona he lived in Scottsbluff and Mitchell, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Alice Waugh; his sons, Douglas of San Francisco, Bruce of Camp Verde, a daughter, Susan of Bozman, Montana; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Grady and seven brothers and sisters. There will be no services. Memorials may be made to the donor\u0027s choice. Westcott Funeral Home was entrusted with these arrangements.
