Charlotte Schmidt

Charlotte Schmidt passed away at her home in Camp Verde surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 26, 2011. She was 87 years old. She was born on February 14, 1924 and raised in Wooster, Ohio by her parents Robert and Hazel Dow. It was there that Charlotte met and married the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Schmidt. They farmed in Ohio until they moved west to Arizona in 1960 where they went into the motel business. Charlotte and Dick loved traveling in their R.V. visiting National Parks in the western United States and Alaska. They also enjoyed fly-fishing and dancing every chance they could. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Dick of sixty four years; two sons Dana (Sandi) of Camp Verde and Corey (Katherine) of Eagle, Colorado; two grandchildren Garrett and Lauren; a brother Glen Dow of San Diego and a sister Janet Rickertson of Toledo, Ohio.
