Christa Fasching

Christa Fasching, 84, a resident of Sedona died October 30. She was born December 19, 1923 in Vienna , Austria , the daughter of Christian and Gertrud ( Nev ) Lerch. She attended the University of Vienna, studying chemistry . Mrs. Fasching immigrated to Canada in 1952 and then to the United States in 1956. She had worked as a secretary of the French Austrian Society and as bank manager in charge of foreign currency exchange. A water color artist, she was a member of the Northern Arizona Water Color Society. She also was a member of the Red Rocks 4W Drive Club. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Walter Fasching; nieces Jutta (and her husband Ty) Wait of Ohio, Ulli (and her husband Eric) Schlerka of Austria; nephews Christian Lerch (and his wife Janet) of Minnesota and Michael Jahn (and his wife Sigrid) of Austria . There will be an open house at the family residence, 795 Saddlehorn Rd., Sedona on Saturday, November 15 from 2-5 PM.
