Christie J. Canalia

Christie J. Canalia, age 66, passed away on February 2, 2011 in Cottonwood, Arizona. Chris, known as Junior to his many friends, was born October 27, 1944 in Ironwood, MI to Christie and Irene Canalia. Moving at a young age to Butte, Chris attended Webster-Garfield, graduated from Butte High School, and worked in the Butte mines for a few years. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. Chris eventually moved to Milwaukee, WI and lived there until he retired. He then moved to Cottonwood, AZ to be closer to family and to enjoy the milder climate. Chris was a car enthusiast all his life, and particularly enjoyed vacations in Montana, and spending time with family and friends. Chris is survived by his sister Gerri (Terry) Erskine of Farmington, MO; his brothers Don (Sharon) Canalia of Cottonwood, John (Denise) Canalia of Orland, CA; his step-brother Fred (Judy) Wendt of Butte, MT and many nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by his parents Christie and Irene, his step-mother, Hulda, his step-sisters Sally Haft and Karen Johnson and his step-brother David Wendt.
