Christine E. (Betty) Moeny Age 85\u003cbr\u003eBetty Moeny died August 6th under hospice care at the home of her son, Jim Moeny, in\u003cbr\u003eCottonwood, Arizona. She was born October 22, 1919 in Hooper, Colorado to Billy and\u003cbr\u003eEllen Wilson. She married William C. Moeny in 1940 and they had four children.\u003cbr\u003eHer first teaching assignment, after graduating from Adams State College, was in\u003cbr\u003eAvondale, Colorado. A life long educator, she retired as Professor of Library Science\u003cbr\u003efrom Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado. She lived in Albuquerque, New\u003cbr\u003eMexico for the last fifteen years.\u003cbr\u003eBetty loved to read and traveled extensively, frequently visiting friends and family. She\u003cbr\u003ewas a member of Eastern Star and was a PEO Golden Girl. She was a very active\u003cbr\u003emember of Grace Church. A happy, outgoing person, Betty never met anyone who was\u003cbr\u003enot a friend.\u003cbr\u003eHer parents preceded her in death.\u003cbr\u003eSurvivors include her children, Bill (Mary Lee) Moeny of Albuquerque, New Mexico,\u003cbr\u003eJim Moeny of Cottonwood, Arizona, Susan (Dave) Hawkins of Valley Center, California,\u003cbr\u003eand Nancy Nash of Alamosa, Colorado. She is also survivedby five grandchildren,\u003cbr\u003eMichael (Jennifer) Moeny of College Station, PA, Susanna (Michael) Hinkle, Phoenix,\u003cbr\u003eArizona, Stephen (Echo) Moeny of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Patty McGuire of\u003cbr\u003ePhoenix, Arizona, Amanda McGuire of Taichung, Taiwan, and one great grandson\u003cbr\u003eMichael William Moeny, of College Station, PA.\u003cbr\u003eCremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August\u003cbr\u003e13th at Grace Church, 6901 San Antonio in Albuquerque. There will be a graveside\u003cbr\u003einternment on Monday, August 15th at 2:00 pm in the Monte Vista, Colorado Cemetery.\u003cbr\u003eMemorial contributions maybe made to the Christine E.
