Christine Marie Long

Christine Marie Long, 84, resident of Cottonwood, passed away at Kachina Point on Saturday, August 18, 2007. She was born on November 11, 1922 to Herman and Edna (Fisher) Sorenson in Kenosha, Wisconsin; where she grew up-attending the local schools and graduating from high school. Christine worked for the United States Postal Service in Grants, New Mexico for 20 years. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, sewing, fishing, hunting, and especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Hattie. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Dean Long; her sons, Butch Long, Larry Long, and Jim Long; her sister, Sena Olson; sisters-in-law, Joan Short; and Verla Marguardt; her brother-in-law, Otis Marguardt; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 10:00am at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood.
