Claire Millicent Gramlich, 84, passed away at her home in Camp Verde on January 25, surrounded by love and family. Wife, mother and homemaker, Claire, known as Sis to all who knew her, was born on December 18, 1927, in Northcastle, N.Y. to Edwin and Mildred (Ackerly) Weber. She married Erwin Gramlich on Nov. 17, 1949 in Valhalla, N.Y., a marriage that would last for 58 years. In 1957 they moved upstate to Bloomville, N.Y. and spent several years dairy farming, moving out to sunny Arizona in 2004. Claire will forever be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and friends, her warm brown-eyed smile, her sassy sense of humor and her unyielding love for all God\u0027s creatures. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Steven) Ayers of Camp Verde, sisters Marie Titch of Benson, Ariz., and Shirley Munoz of Bloomville, N.Y., brother Edwin Weber of Franklin, N. J., and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made in Claire\u0027s memory to a local humane society. Private services will be planned at a later date.
