Clara Jo Pirtle

Clara Jo Pirtle of Clarkdale, AZ passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2016. She was born to Elton and Mary Hardy on August 12, 1939 in Williams, AZ. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Warren Pirtle and her two daughters, Darla Duncan (Alan) of Scottsdale and Tamera Ontiveros (Tony) of Cottonwood. She also leaves behind her two grandchildren, Ryan Ontiveros (Stephanie) of Flagstaff and Elayna Ontiveros of Village of Oak Creek and her great-granddaughter Ariel of Flagstaff. Clara attended elementary school at Maine Consolidated School in Parks, AZ where she graduated 8th grade. She briefly attended Clemenceau Public School in the Verde Valley and then went to Williams High School where she graduated in 1956. Clara enjoyed horseback riding, time with family, gardening, cooking and baking, sewing and spending time on her properties in Parks and the Verde Valley. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Williams Cemetery followed by a time of celebration at Cataract Park.
