Clarence Wilson Jones, 83, of Cottonwood died April 23. He was born May 24, 1920 in Peconic, Long Island, New York. He was the valedictorian at his graduation from Southold High School. He retired as computer programmer from Lou Grubb Chevrolet in Phoenix. He previuosly had worked as an auto parts clerk. Mr. Jones was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading, gardening and woodworking. He was an Army and a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Eva A. Jones; a son, Barry W. Jones of Cottonwood; Bonnie Hills of Salem, Oregon, Donna Lynn O\u0027Daniel of Cottonwood; two brothers, Robert Jones of Salisbury, North Carolina and Ernest Jones of Mattituck, Long Island, New York; two sisters, Hope Dries of Mattituck, Long Island, New York and Elinor Hawkins of South Jamesport, Long Island, New York; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A private family graveservice was held in Valley View Cemetery. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with hese arrangements.
