Colleen Patricia Freemon died on May 15, 2010 at her home in Camp Verde, AZ at the age of 56. She was born March 17, 1954 in Renton, WA. Colleen was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great friend. She had a heart of gold that was much bigger then her petite frame. Her passions were certainly her horse, her family and close friends of which, she had an uncompromising loyalty and devotion. She never missed an opportunity to help someone out or nurse a stray animal to health. Colleen had an impeccable way of always finding the good in other people. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to the elderly and later to the needy animals at the Verde Valley Humane Society. She was a hard worker and never asked for anything but instead gave always. She was a devout follower of God and always strived to do right by him and everyone. Her mark on this earth is a good and positive one.one that we, humans and animals alike, will miss terribly! May God bless her and give her a special place in heaven. We love you. Colleen is survived by her mother Lucy Brooks, brother Brian Bailey, son Joshua John Freemon, daughter Nichole Marie Minice, grandson John Christopher Minice and her beloved horse Doc' of 25 years. She is preceded in death by her father Dr. Harry K. Bailey and her sister Susan Porter. A memorial service was held May 22, 2010 with close friends and family.
