Daniel Svaleng, 70 of Cottonwood, passed away at his home on April 25, 2012. He was born on October 22, 1941 in St. Catherine\u0027s, Ontario, Canada to Aarne Jaeger Daniel Svaleng and Sisko Maire Lemmitty Tuori. Daniel attended school at Lake Washington in Kirkland, WA. He was a custom cabinet maker and tow truck driver. He was a former resident of Flagstaff and operated C \u0026 S Cabinet. Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing, nature, wildlife and family. He had great pride in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved his dogs and cat and was a good Samaritan and helped a lot of people in need. Daniel was preceded in death by parents Aarne and Sisko; brother Karl Erik Roos; sister Nancy Adele Roos Getz and brother-in-law James "Jim" Breitenbucher. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Wanda Svaleng; son Karl Alan Svaleng (Danielle) of Prescott Valley; daughters Roberta Marie Svaleng Racette (Keith) of Glendale; Connie Lynn Svaleng of Cottonwood and Lela Jane Svaleng of Cottonwood; sisters Ruth G. Svaleng Hockenberry (Walter "Gene") of Bellevue, WA and Barbara Julianna Svaleng Breitenbucher of Camas, WA; sister-in-law Rose Roos of Kirkland, WA; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
