Daniel Patrick Thornburg "Bugsy", 36, of Cottonwood, Arizona passed away on November 20, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on March 4, 1977 in San Pablo California, the son of Patrick and Linda Thornburg. Danny was baptized and confirmed at the Rollingwood Lutheran Church in San Pablo, California. Danny was a successful underground gold miner at the Newmont mine in Nevada. His hard work ethic allowed him to excel in everything he did. Danny was a lover of life and a "fun haver." He enjoyed playing Tara Hills baseball growing up in California, and continued his love for the game as part of a local softball team with his buddies. He was also an avid bowler, something he loved to do with his dad and friends. Danny loved to BBQ; he was the grill master at all the parties. Being surrounded by friends and family was so important to him. Danny was the provider and rock for his entire family; there was nothing he would not do for them. He was the father of two beautiful daughters, a loving husband, son, grandson, brother, godfather and friend. He touched the lives of so many people. His heart was as big as his smile and he will be forever missed by all who knew him. Danny is preceded in death by his grandfather Norman R. Schrader and Uncle Larry N. Schrader. He is survived by his wife, Morgan; daughters, Ashley Starks and Rowyn Thornburg; Grandfather, Irvy Thornburg; Grandmothers, Darlene Schrader and Esther Thornburg; Parents, Patrick and Linda Thornburg; brothers, Chad Thornburg (Sasha) and Chris Thornburg; sister, Kimberly Thornburg and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 @ 11:00 am at the Cottonwood Christian Assembly Church.
