Danny Rhodes

Danny Rhodes, 58, of Cottonwood, Arizona died on Friday, May 23rd at the Verde Valley Medical Center. He was born January 30, 1950 in Cairo, Illinois to Oelin "Speedy" and Joni (Knight) Rhodes. After graduating from West Monroe High School; Danny went on, and graduated from Northwest Louisiana University receiving a Bachelor\u0027s degree. He was a professional musician having performed extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Japan. Locally he performed with his own band, Danny Rhodes and the Messengers, the Blazin M Cowboys and with many other area bands and musicians. His talent and professionalism always made Danny a welcome addition to any group of musicians. In 2006, Danny was inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame. Danny loved his family, friends, music and sports. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Lisa; sons, Gabriel Francis Rhodes age 19, Elvis Aaron David Thomas Rhodes age 5-both of Cottonwood; daughter, Ruby Jude Randall age 29 of Tucson; brothers, Robbie Rhodes of Louisiana, and Scott Rhodes of Texas; two grandsons, Gunner Anthony Randall age 6, and Chase Arthur Randall age 5-both of Tucson.
