Danny Lee Scott

Danny Lee Scott, born at Williamson in Mingo County, West Virginia, passed away March 19th, 2014 in Flagstaff, Arizona. Danny worked at Fleetwood Motor in Detroit, Michigan. He earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Detroit. He moved with his family to the Verde Valley in 1980. Shortly after arriving to the area, Danny was hired by the Cottonwood Police Department and proudly served his community with integrity for twenty-five years until his retirement as Commander in 2007. Danny was an avid fan of all things baseball. His thirst for knowledge made him a voracious reader, and collector of trivial facts. Danny was a loving and protective husband, father, and doting grandfather. He is preceded in death by his father, Oliver L. Scott Jr. He is survived by his mother Ethel; his brother Dale; wife Joanna Scott; step-daughter Elizabeth; son Aaron (Liz); daughters Laura and Eileen Scott, mother to Aaron and Laura; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood, Arizona on Tuesday March 25th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Danny\u0027s memory may be made to the Danny L.
