Darlene A. Schrader, 82, of Cottonwood Arizona passed away on December 6, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 23 1930 to the parents of Art and Anna Swayze of Wilmot , South Dakota.. Darlene was the 7th of 8 children, she is survived by only one sister Arda Kadinger of Sioux Falls, South Dakota Darlene attended Peever and Wilmot schools and graduated in 1948. Later that year she married Norman R, Schrader and had two children Linda and Larry. In 1954 the family moved to Northern California where they started a successful construction business and Darlene worked at K-Mart for 20 years. They both retired in 1992 and moved to Cottonwood, Arizona. While in Arizona they loved working in the yard, watching their grandson\u0027s baseball games, and also their granddaughter Kimberly riding in Gymkhana rodeos and cheerleading. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Cottonwood. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Norman R. Schrader, son Larry N. Schrader and recently her oldest grandson, Daniel P. Thornburg. (Pictured above). Survivors include her daughter Linda K. Thornburg (Pat) of Cottonwood, her grandsons Chad (Sasha) of Elko, Nevada and Chris of Cottonwood, her granddaughter Kim of Mesa, Arizona, Morgan Thornburg (Daniel) of Elko, Nevada, five great granddaughters, Ashley of Gilbert, AZ, Malia of Troy, Montana, Starlie and Makiah of Elko, Nevada, and Rowyn of Elko, NV and Cottonwood, AZ Also a host of loving nieces and nephews and friends.
