, Jr.Delson Cox, Jr. passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008 in Cottonwood, Arizona surrounded by his loved ones. Delson was born to Ruth and Delson Cox on June 19, 1926 in Liberty, Indiana. He loved playing basketball for the Liberty High School team and often returned to see his classmates during yearly reunions. He was a private in the United States Air Force and received his honorable discharge in January of 1949. He then went on to attend college at Earlham University and Indiana University and received his J.D. Degree from the Law School. During the next two decades, Delson practiced law, flew airplanes for business and pleasure, and had four girls. He also ran for several public offices and held judgeships in Washington County, Indiana for several years. Later in his life, Delson retired from law and became a realtor-buying, renovating and selling small properties. He excelled in carpentry and enjoyed his lifestyle will into his seventies. Delson met Jeanne Stevens 18 years ago and settled in the Verde Valley of Arizona enjoying the love and companionship their union brought. Delson was greatly loved by his family and his friends and will be deeply missed. Delsonh was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Jean West and Jewell Lawrence. Those left behind are his daughters, Sarah Cox, Mary Scifres (Beu) with her husband, B.J. and their son, Michael; Rebecca Jean Howe with her husband, Steve and their two sons, Richie and Adlai; and Caroline Johnson with her husband Gary and their children, Patricia, Melissa, Paul, David, Katie, Sam, and Hannah. Delson also loved and claimed as his own, Jeanne\u0027s wonderful adult children, Hawley with her husband, Mark, Brian with his wife, Grace, Heather, and Laurie. No local services are planned.
