Derek Christopher Serene, 2, of Cottonwood entered eternal life on September 22. Derek was born July 3, 2006 in Cottonwood, the son of Alex and Felicia Serene. Besides his parents, he leaves a brother Logan Alexander Serene; his maternal grandparents Les and Darlene Parson of Cottonwood and Eric and Jancine Serene of Lake Montezuma. A visitation will be held for Derek on Friday, September 26 at 11 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cottonwood, the funeral will follow at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery.
