Diana Marie Monachelli passed from this world on December 26, 2014. She was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on June 21, 1972 to Ruth Ann Williams and Domonick Monachelli Jr. Dana had an infinitely sweet and sensitive soul, with a sharp wit and an expressive sense of humor. In her heart, she seemed to carry the burden and pain of this world. She left us all too soon and in her wake leaves many broken hearts. Her friends and family will miss her terribly, even knowing that she is now home and finally at peace. Diana loved animals and had a special fondness for her beloved dog Stanley and her Burmese Python Jisi. She loved hiking to her favorite watering holes, particularly Sycamore Canyon. We have many fun memories there. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Ann and Domonick. She is survived by her daughter Alea McBryde; her brothers, Jim (Chris) Wilson, Christopher (Grace) Monachelli and Brian (Katie) Beckwith; her sisters, Denise Lerette and Susan Monachelli; her aunt Barbara Williams and uncle Bob Williams; her stepmother, Kay Monachelli and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. A memorial gathering for Diana will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Verde Valley Senior Center, located at 500 E. Cherry St. in Cottonwood from 1-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Diana\u0027s name may be made to Steps to Recovery Homes, 748 N. Main St., Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
