Dixie Adele Neglay, 83, died April 5, 2015 in Cottonwood. She was born April 8, 1931 in Hollywood, California. Dixie was born prematurely and was not expected to live. Dixie proved time and time again her determination to not only live, but thrive. Dixie is survived by her brother Richard of San Francisco, California and three cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Elliot Kipley and her father, Norman Cloid Neglay. Dixie had tremendous comfort in her faith as a member of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church in Cottonwood. In later years, Dixie was a resident and active member at Y.E.S. The Arc. She also attended the former Eden Center for a period of time. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 1 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 11 AM.
