Dolores A. \u0027\u0027Dee\u0027\u0027 Finney, 73, a 14 year resident of Cottonwood, passed away June 6th at her home with her family at her side. She was born in the town of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, and county of Manitowoc and was the daughter of the late Joe and Agnes Adam Kanaugh. Dolores graduated with the class of 1949 from Washington High School. On February 14, 1953 she married Donald Finney at All Souls Church in Alhambra, California and lived in Covina California and later retired to Cottonwood. Dolores loved to volunteer and did so with 3000 volunteer hours at the Verde Valley Medical Center for 12 years and at the VFW Post 7400 as much as possible. Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Donald K. Finney, Sr.; a son Donald K. Finney, Jr. and wife Dawn of Norco, California; daughter Terrie Roscoe and husband Russ of Webster, Florida; daughter Shirley Kridler of Hemet, California; and two brothers, Gerald and Joe Kanugh. Also there are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A daughter Peggy Finney, two sisters, Rosemary and Adeline, brother Raymond, brother in laws Duane, Lawrence and Robert, and sister in law Mary preceded her in death. The Rosary will be recited Friday, June 11 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 700 N. Bill Gray Road at 7:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 12 at the Church at 10:00 AM. Following the Mass, a reception will follow at the VFW Post 7400. The family asks that instead of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood 86326 or to the VFW Post 7400, P O Box 689, Cottonwood 86326 in memory of Dolores A. Finney.
