Donald D. Gheens

Donald D. Gheens of Camp Verde passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015. He was 80 years old. Donald was born on October 17, 1934 in Keytesville, MO to James and Gladys Guilford Gheens. After school, Donald enlisted in the Air Force, serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct medal, the National Defense SVC Medal and the A.F. Outstanding Unit award. After the service Donald became a real estate broker, a field he was involved in for the rest of his career. Donald was a member of Parkside Community Church in Camp Verde, AZ. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys, and his sister Eleanor Rothwiller. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Juana Gheens; his daughter, Donna Littlepage; his sister, Kathy Groenenboom; two grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held for Donald on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Parkside Community Church in Camp Verde at 1 PM. A dessert function will follow.
