Donald L. Stevick

Donald L. Stevick, 84, of Cottonwood passed away June 15, 2016. He was born April 27, 1932 in Butler County, Pennsylvania, the son of Franklin and Elma (Miller) Stevick. He was a graduate of Ecorse, Michigan schools and studied for four years at an electrical trade school where he received his certification. He served his country in the Air Force with the military police during the Korean War. Don worked in a steel mill for 30 years, he also was an electrical inspector in Phoenix. Don also served as building inspector in Cottonwood. He also worked as an electrical contractor and an electrical instructor at vocational schools. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Cottonwood. His hobbies included playing cards, tennis, and horseshoes, running 10K races and jogging, computers. Don had been an active member of the Masons, where he served as Worshipful Master of the Verde Lodge of Masons. He took over the Masonic Lodge program, "Book For Bikes", where he assembled many bikes and distributed them to school children. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Stella; sons Kenneth of Phoenix, Christopher (Cindi) of Phoenix, George (Mona) of Chandler, Paul (Lesea) of Camp Verde and Steven of Oak Creek; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 25 in the Immaculate Conception Church at 11 AM. VFW Post 7400 will present military honors. A light luncheon will follow in the parish hall.
