Doris E. Barz, 83, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2007. She was born August 20, 1923 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to Berry and Rosa Walker. Following Doris\u0027s graduation from High School, she attended secretarial school in Kentucky, where she became very skilled in short-hand, a concept that is now almost unheard of. She later worked as a Civil Service Secretary, and truly enjoyed working for the base commander at the Manzano Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Prior to retiring to Cottonwood, Doris lived in Sun City for 25 years, where she was a faithful christan and attended the Congregational Church. While living in Sun City, she also took up golf and even struck a hole in one during one of her games. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, bridge, and bowling. Doris is preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas E. Trask, and her second husband, Richard Barz; as well as, her daughter, Judy A. Hill. She leaves behind her son Thomas E. Trask with his wife, Veruska of Boulder, Colorado; her daughter, Martha E. Brown with her husband, Paul of Cornville, Arizona, her son-in-law, Doug Hill of Scottsdale, Arizona; 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
