Doris Walker

Doris Walker, 89 of Cottonwood, passed away on October 17, 2013. She was born on February 20, 1924 in Texas to Dempsy and Viola Creel. Doris displayed store merchandise in a beautiful, creative manner for California El Poco Candle Shops. She enjoyed antiques, Christmas decorations and collected cookie jars. Doris was preceded in death by daughter Rene Williams. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Roy Walker; son Steven Walker of Las Vegas, NV; daughter Binnie Jessee of Sedona; sister Hazel Green of Arkansas; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 22 at Village Park Baptist Church, 55 Canyon Diablo in the Village of Oak Creek-Sedona. Visitation will be at 9:30am with the service following at 10:00am. Burial will take place at the National Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Contributions may be made to the Village Park Baptist Church, 55 Canyon Diablo, Sedona, AZ 86351.
