Dorothy Hamouris DeLaO, 82 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on March 13, 2014. She was born on September 23, 1931 in Jerome, Arizona. Dorothy attended Clark St, Sellwood, Commerce High School in Arizona and Marshfield High School in Oregon. She was retired from Management Assistant of the State of Nevada in Carson City, NV. Her previous occupation was Project Clerk for Lockheed Missle Systems in Sunnyvale, CA. Club, professional, church memberships and offices held by Dorothy were Community Services in Jerome, President and Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce in Jerome and Cottonwood, AZ Board Member and Temporary Director, Board of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Sedona, AZ and pianist of the Elks Emblem Club of Clarkdale, AZ. Dorothy owned \u0026 operated The Shop Unusual in Jerome with 2nd husband, Jere Lepley. Dorothy enjoyed playing the piano, gardening and house painting. Dorothy is survived by son Richard David Hamouris, Phoenix, AZ; daughter Deborah Jayne Hamouris, Oakland, CA; stepsons Jere Lepley Jr, Newhaven, CT and Henry Lepley, Coos Bay OR; stepdaughters Kathy Hause, Saylorsville, PA and Mary Ripper, Bonney Lake, WA; sisters Anna Louise Anderson, Lake Oswego, OR and Susan Dee Downer, Corvallis, OR; 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 10:30am at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
