Dorothy L. Jacobs, 83, of Phoenix died August 14. She was born June 29, 1926 in Milan, Missouri, the son of John and Rebecca Richmond May. She was educated in Milan public schools and graduated from Milan High School. She also was a graduate of a beautician school where she studied cosmetology. She was the owner of several bueuty shops, the Carousel Coiffures, in Phoenix. She was a life member of the Phoenix Zoo, actively participated with the Phoenix Symphony and an active member of the Arizona republican Woman Club. She loved to travel in the United States and Hawaii. She was an avid gardener. Preceded in death by her first husband, Fay Jacobs and a son John David Jacobs. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jonathan P. Rose; a daughter, Julie Rufffalo (Craig) of Peoria, Illinois. A graveside service was held August 29 in Milan, Missouri.
