Dorothy Louise Steele, 83, passed away November 20, 2012, in her Cornville home with her family by her side. She went to be with her beloved husband, Will Steele, who passed away July 20, 2010. She was born in Los Angeles on December 6, 1928, daughter of Dorothy Brannnen Page and Joseph Sidney Birch. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 27 at 10 a.m. at Mountain View United Methodist Church, 901 S. 12th St., Cottonwood, AZ. She is survived by three sons: William Britt (Marlene) of Alpine, Texas, Kelly Joseph (Wanda) of Scottsdale, Wade Christy (Sandra) of Nampa, Idaho. She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph Sidney Birch of Cornville, AZ, Julie Anne (Page) Shipp of Payson, AZ, and Jack Eugene Page of Phoenix. Dorothy also had ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, and ably assisted her husband Will when he was deputy sheriff of Sedona for many years. She was very involved with the woman\u0027s sorority Beta Sigma Phi. She was the recipient of the Golden Circle Certificate honoring her membership of 50 years. Dorothy was also a 4-H leader during the years when her sons were involved in organization. She was a long-time resident of Sedona, Flagstaff and Cornville.
