Doyle Calvert, 60, passed away in his sleep January 5,2019. He was born January 25, 1958 to Don and Darlene Calvert in Cottonwood, AZ. He attended Cottonwood schools and Mingus Union High School where he played football and was a State Champion Wrestler. He was the homecoming king his senior year. He worked in the construction industry and was a member of the AZ Local 428 Phoenix and Local 12 Los Angeles He settled in the Verde Valley and found his calling doing landscaping. He created beautiful, unique designs that will be admired for years to come. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hanging out with family and friends. He was kind and generous, had the gift of gab and was the life of the party wherever he went. He was larger than life and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son Donny Calvert, mother Darlene Calvert, partner in life Theresa Dugan and her 2 sons Coy and Conner, his loyal companion Chopper, brother Dale Calvert (Lori), niece Wyndie Whitney (Daylan) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Don "Red" Calvert and his grandparents John \u0026 Deborah Calvert and Walter \u0026 Minnie Heart. There will be a memorial service on January 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood with a celebration of life to follow at 12:30pm at Main Stage.
